The game

The air outside will kill you

Staying in the bunker won't get you very far either.

Carbon Rain is a side-scrolling action game set after the end of the world. You head out with limited oxygen, fight off the mutated things that live there now, and bring back whatever you can carry.

The world is pixel art, rendered in 3D so movement and animation stay smooth. It looks peaceful from a distance. It isn't.

How it plays

Out, back, and a bit further

  1. Leave the bunker

    Step outside with as much oxygen as your tank holds. Keep an eye on it.

  2. Fight what's out there

    Fast, direct combat against mutated creatures. Plenty of weapons, never quite enough ammo.

  3. Scavenge

    Grab resources and supplies on the way. Every trip outside is a trade-off between pushing on and getting back.

  4. Go further

    Upgrade your oxygen reserves and weapons to reach biomes you couldn't survive before.
